The VI of Pentacles is symbolic of material harmony. In the Hermetic Tarot it is known as the ‘Lord of Material Success.’ A figure stands with open arms, presenting their material wealth to the world. There is a sense of balance here. The hands from either side give or take as necessary. Everyone is sharing. The constellation for Libra, or the scales of equality and justice, is visible in the background

This card is ruled by the Moon and oversees the second decan of Taurus.

In a reading this card may reflect that you are experiencing the spirit of generosity in one way or the other. If you have the means, you may be finding fulfillment in helping others through charity or other means of volunteering. If you’re having a hard time, you could be the one graciously accepting help. It’s all about balance. You should be careful not to give or take more than your fair share. The end goal is always self sufficiency.

The reversed may serve as a reminder to take care of yourself. Don’t forget that to be able to help others you have to take care of your needs first. Reevaluate how much of yourself you give and what you’re getting back, especially in terms of relationships. Make sure you’re helping others selflessly, not selfishly. Be wary of getting yourself into too much debt. Ask yourself if you are giving back enough to the people who support you.
