Calcite
It’s been a while since I did a crystal highlight, but lately I’ve been struck by the unassuming beauty of calcite. It’s an abundant and fairly common stone found in many varieties and colors. Every flavor is wonderful and unique in its own way. For instance, blue calcite is calming and reminiscent of a blue sky or the open sea. Honey calcite is rich, sweet, and energizing.
I picked up this set of small specimens from my local crystal shop not too long ago because they reminded me of the cardinal colors of my deck. I use them now to connect with the suits and cardinal directions when I do my compass spread. They have a really great energy.
I also got these beautiful blue and honey spheres and created this crystal ball base for them. The design is inspired by the symbol for the triple moon goddess, is suitable for many different sizes of spheres, and can be 3D printed in a rainbow of colors from my Shapeways shop.
